LACE’EM UP for Epilepsy Walk

This walk is a fun community event for spreading awareness and raising funds that allows those impacted by epilepsy to share stories of their journeys while connecting with others walking the same path (literally). By walking and talking, we are able to inspire others to do the same. As our numbers grow, even more people will take notice so we can raise even more awareness: more awareness = more funding = more research = A CURE.

The Hundley Foundation proudly hosts the LACE’EM UP for Epilepsy Walk annually in Arizona, California, and Nevada.

Raise Awareness

5th Quarter Epilepsy Awareness Campaign

When the last second ticks off the clock and the game is over, there is still work to be done. The 5th Quarter campaign will educate others to break the silence surrounding epilepsy and seizures. It is a movement created to start meaningful conversations in an effort to encourage and empower the epilepsy community and let them know they are not alone in their pursuit of a seizure free existence. The 5th Quarter Epilepsy Awareness Campaign is a partnership between youth with epilepsy and college sports Nationwide.

Studio 7 Art

Studio 7 is a free art therapy program designed for individuals of all ages living with epilepsy or other disabilities and their families. Oftentimes, these individuals cannot express themselves in traditional ways. Art provides an opportunity to bridge these gaps by providing various avenues of expression—including emotional, social and physical. We hope Studio 7 will help individuals become more confident and develop a belief that there is more to life than just their diagnosis, while simultaneously learning new skills, meeting new friends and having a spectacular day.

Each session will be held at the studio of a local artist and usually consist of three to four classes. Individuals and families are encouraged to attend multiple sessions to help build relationships with others traveling similar journeys. Upon completion of the program, artists will have their artwork professionally photographed and displayed at future foundation events.
